Cost: $129 per couple + cost of accommodations.

The Proposal Package (For Guests)

Struggling to think of a creative way to pop the question? Try this: a guided horseback ride to Enchanted Lake, a picnic blanket strewn with flowers, a basket of goodies, and a golf cart for waiting for your triumphant return.

Cost: $239 per couple + cost of accommodations.

The “Still Waiting” Proposal Package (For Non-guests)

This is the Proposal Package minus the overnight stay—a picnic blanket strewn with flowers at Enchanted Lake, chocolate-covered strawberries, cheese and crackers, and a bottle of chilled Champagne with souvenir glasses.

Cost: $199 per couple + $129 for the guided horseback ride (optional).

The Vow Renewal Package

Reaffirm your vows in a location of your choice at BlissWood. For you and 12 of your family and friends. This package includes a minister to perform a personalized vow renewal, a bouquet for the bride and a boutonniere for the groom, and a special cake and Champagne toast with souvenir glasses. We can also provide a photographer for an additional $350.

Cost: $599 + cost of accommodations.

The Valentine’s Day Special

Whisk your significant other away to the country this Valentine’s Day. Upon arrival, you’ll find fresh flowers, chocolate-covered strawberries, cheese and crackers, and a bottle of chilled Champagne with souvenir glasses in your reserved lodging. Plus, you’ll enjoy a gourmet dinner for two a Carol’s at Cat Spring Restaurant.

Cost: $299 per couple + cost of accommodations.

The Happy Goddess with Sassy.

“One word: Wow! We chose the Enchanted Cabin for our stay as I wanted something secluded and away from everyone else. This is EXACTLY what we got. In fact, when we drove down the road (with darling little handmade signs) we got to the end and my husband said, “Where is it?” The cabin was so nestled we barely saw it.

When we walked inside, we gasped. We are city dwellers. This was a true escape and it felt like stepping back into a simpler time. We enjoyed every single thing about the cabin. We walked the gravel roads. Took photos among the wildflowers. Felt the breeze and listened to the leaves rustle. We took photos with Carol’s beautiful dog, Sassy. We never saw a single person only heard the sound of the cattle at night. It was so enchanting. We sat under the moon on the porch and watched the stars.

There is a lot of love on this property. The gazebo is so romantic. The charming white bridges beckon you over them to watch the frogs jump. It was just awesome. We did not want to leave. And, the pillows are so very comfortable. The hot tub rocks too! Thank you for the soft little bagels and for the experience that we will long remember. We will be back!! ~ The Happy Goddess.”

Fall Creek Vineyards was established in 1975 by Texas businessman/rancher, Ed Auler and his wife, Susan. The vineyards are located eighty miles northwest of Austin in the Texas Hill Country where the sandy loam soil, warm days and cool breezes off Lake Buchanan provide an excellent microclimate for growing premium wine grapes.

The inspiration for the winery came in 1973 when the Aulers, on a trip to France, noted remarkable similarities in the soil, terrain and microclimate of parts of the French wine country and their own ranch. “I became convinced that certain parts of the Texas Hill Country would be ideally suited to grape growing,” says Ed.

He was right. Anyone who enjoys wine wouldn’t think of visiting parts of Texas without stopping by at least one winery, and there are many “wine trails” that will lead happy tasters to one winery after another.

At the end of September, spend a night or two at our Central Texas lodging and join us for our celebration of Texas wineries in general, and Fall Creek Vineyards in particular. For $79 per person you will enjoy six courses superbly paired with Fall Creek wines. Plan to stay the night at our guest ranch near Houston, so that you can sit back and allow yourself to relax and enjoy each sip. Then stroll back to your private cottage under the huge Texas sky. This could just be the makings of an ideal romantic getaway.

We have nine vacation-rental style homes on the ranch; each with its own unique appeal. Some, like the Writer’s Cabin, are single bedroom and hidden back among the live oaks to make for a very romantic setting. Others, like the Sullivan House, have three bedrooms and can sleep up to eight.
