Two-night minimum stay required on weekends and holidays. When a holiday falls on Thursday or Monday, a three night minimum stay is required. At times a one-night stay may be permissible for an extra charge.

Do accommodations include tax?
No, prices exclusive of 6% Texas State Room Tax.

Do your "Special Packages" include the room?
No. Special Packages are designed without the room charge.

Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, we accept MasterCard & Visa.

Can I smoke at BlissWood?
No, we're sorry, but BlissWood is a smoke-free environment.

Can I bring my pet?
At BlissWood we understand that you love your pets, so we allow some pets with prior arrangements and an extra charge. If considering bringing your pet, be aware that there is a "family" of domesticated dogs living on the ranch that may not get along well with your pet. As well, some ranch animals and pets just don't "mix". Please contact us if considering bringing your pet.

When can I check in, and when do I have to be out?
Check-in anytime after 3 pm. Check-out time is 11 am.

Is there staff on-hand all the time?
No, BlissWood is currently an unhosted accommodation, although you may see other guests, ranchhands, and possibly even the owner about the grounds.

Do accommodation prices include a continental breakfast? Yes, a continental breakfast is placed in your house or cabin, to enjoy at your leisure.

What is included in the continental breakfast? It includes coffee, tea, English muffins or regular muffins, cereal, milk, juice, and fresh fruit, granola bars (seasonally we offer "hot cereal packets").

Is there an outdoor grill?
Some accommodations have permanent grills, and grills are available upon request.

Do we have to bring our own pots & pans? No. All houses that have full kitchens are fully stocked with pots, pans, glassware, silverware, dishes, etc.

Do we have to bring our own towels and sheets?
No. All houses are fully furnished with towels and sheets/pillowcases.

Are there Televisions in the houses?
NoTVs.  BlissWood was created as a place of rest and relaxation, without the distractions of our everyday lives; therefore, most of the houses do not have TVs or telephones. You may bring your own TV to get a few local channels. AT&T cell phones work the best here in the country.

Are all activities at BlissWood available year-round?
Most all activities are available year-round.  Depending on season and other circumstances, some may not be available. Activities are for guests only and must be prearranged at the time of making reservations.

Where do we go for horseback riding?
Horseback rides begin at the Red Barn, and when you make reservations, a map of the ranch is included with your confirmation so that you may find the Red Barn.

Can anyone use the Dot Trot House swimming pool?
The on-site pool at the Dog Trot House is for Dog Trot House guests only.

Is there anything special I need to know?

Accommodations are not equipped with WiFi.  You can get Internet service in the area of the Show Barn.  Because we honor your privacy and we are a working ranch, you may not see anybody except occasionally a ranch hand going by.  We want it that way so you can enjoy our quiet environment, and BlissWood was created just for that purpose.  Please also understand that you are in the country, and you will encounter critters and things that were here long before we were.  We just honor their space and co-exist peacefully with them.  Also our country roads are bumpy and you will encounter those bumps.  We think it adds to our country atmosphere and charm here, as we are not a pristine country club.  We are located on a ranch in the country.
