Dear Carol,
I just wanted to drop you a quick email to let you know how much Ben and I enjoyed our brief stay at Blisswood. The property was absolutely beautiful and our cabin (Enchanted Cabin) was impeccably clean and comfortable. All of the staff were very friendly and made sure that we had a great time. Jen definitely went out of her way to make sure that we enjoyed our horseback riding. Since I am an experienced rider, some trail horses and rides can be dull. However, thanks to your great horses and beautiful land, our ride was delightful. Good luck with the remainder of your year, and I will be sure to highly recommend Blisswood to anyone who might be interested in a great and spectacular Texas B&B.

Carol,

I want to thank you again for taking us on the trail for our first horse back ride. Leslie and I have been married 10 years and this was by far our most relaxing weekend that both of us have ever had. The Sullivan House was perfect for us , as Leslie loves to have a fire at night and the large fireplace made it romantic. The ranch-like feel of the Sullivan House made us relax by just its appearance, much less the lack of electronic devices we usually are glued to. The house was very comforting and forced us to talk vs. television. I believe the talking brought us closer together as we reminisced, laughed, enjoyed the present scenery and began to make new memories.

The wildlife is extraordinary. The animals are people friendly in that you can walk right up to them and feed or pet them. It was great getting up and close with the deer, horses, chickens, turkeys, miniature donkeys and the farm dogs. What was more amazing was that they all got along together, as they were sometimes all in the same area.

Driving around was entertaining as well, as we saw many ranches and farms, all within a 10 - mile radius. Each night was filled with incredible dinners at the restaurant, Carol’s at Cat Spring. The menu was filled with a variety of cuisines that city restaurants would envy. The dishes themselves were top-notch , and they are definitely worth a 90 - minute drive from our home in Spring, TX. We have been on many vacations to many places, yet our weekend trip to Blisswood was outstanding. We plan on making this a semi-regular weekend - away trip.

I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay!
The suite [Dog Trot Magnolia Suite] was awesome and we felt like we were the only people on earth! The flowers were so pretty and she loved them.

We really enjoyed eating at the restaurant. The food was so delicious and the service was excellent. We really did feel special. I hope to visit Blisswood again very soon.

July 31, 2005 From the B Team – Broughton Family Reunion Thank you for sharing your beautiful Ranch with us. It has been such a great place for our extended family to gather and spend the weekend.  We felt very welcome and really appreciated all of the extra touches! You will never know how much it means to us to have a place where we can all enjoy each other’s company, make memories, and have a chance to strengthen our family bonds. The meal we had at Carol’s was also wonderful. Thank you again, so much. The Broughton Family, all 21 of us!

Dear Carol,

Thank you for the wonderful retreat you call Blisswood. My husband and I stayed in the Log Cabin for our 1st wedding anniversary in May 2006. I think that it was the most relaxing 3 days we've ever had! The country setting was so refreshing and quiet. We hated to leave. We loved that we had the run of the place to roam and explore. It was an experience we won't soon forget and frequently reminisce about already! We are expecting now and our baby is due on our next anniversary, but as soon as we get the chance we will definitely be back. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share your wonderful peace of heaven.

Oct 10, 2006 Carol, My girlfriends spent the weekend at your property "The Sullivan House". We all three are professional overworked ladies looking for a weekend outing. We were totally in awe of the beauty that embraced us. The massive oak trees that sorrounded the property and the catfish pond made us one with mother nature. The suprise visits by the agile deer kept us always looking for more. The house was furnished so cute and simple. We made great Rib-eye steaks one evening on the back patio and enjoyed more deer sightings. We had dinner at your restaurant one night and I must say your menu was great,the service was wonderful and the food was delicious. The Bison was enjoyed by all. I came home and booked the house for three days during Christmas. I can't wait to return. And the best thing about the location is you're only one and half hours from Houston. Thanks for having such a fabulous retreat hidden in the woods. Peggy Cornelius
