“We had a great stay in the Texas farmhouse. The home was very cozy and comfortable though we spent most of our time outdoors. Our kids loved all the interactions with the animals on the farm especially the deer eating out of their hands. The horses were very gentle for the kids’ ride. It was a restful break from the routine of everyday. While it was close enough to home to be an easy drive, it felt so far away. Great way to relax and surround oneself with nature and quiet. Our kids can’t wait to come back here.”

Great Stay for Family with Small Kids
“We went to BlissWood with another family. Both families have two small kids. We stayed at the Lehmann house for two nights. The house was well maintained and the backyard looked like undeveloped forest with gorgeous trees. The two elder kids really enjoyed the horse riding. All kids had a good time about animal feeding at the show barn. Kids had lots of fun making the s’more. The staffs at BlissWood were very friendly and professional. All our requests and questions were dealt with promptly. We got a special treat at the end of the stay. The kids were really excited to see and feed some exotic animals like Buffalo, ostrich, and all kinds of beautiful deers. Both families had a very good experience. We highly recommend this place for family with small kids.”

A Restful Getaway for our Family
“We spent 4 nights in the Bluebonnet Bungalow and really loved our stay! We were looking for a socially distanced place to get out of the city and have a change of scenery and a change of pace. This place really fits the bill. It was rustic and quaint, with lovely scenery. Just a peaceful, relaxing time for our whole family! We signed up for the feeding tour (our daughter really enjoyed that. Seeing and feeding the animals was probably the highlight of the trip for her). We also paddled a canoe around the Enchanted Lake, and tried out archery and knife throwing. Skeeter, the ranch hand who guided us through our activities, was so kind and fun. A nice place to watch the stars and re-connect with family. Would definitely recommend and would love to go back and change it up by staying at one of the other cottages!”
