All Border Collie Rescue

At BlissWood Bed and Breakfast Ranch, animals are a big part of everyday life. You might say we have more than our fair share of them! We’re home to chickens, bison, antelope, fallow deer, potbellied pigs, peacocks, alpaca, and miniature donkeys. And in addition to all of those fine creatures, you’ll often find us with a Border Collie or two. (Or more.) But they don’t belong to us – we’re just helping out some of the sweet rescue dogs in Texas.

We’re proud to work with All Border Collie Rescue, caring for dogs in transition as they look for permanent homes. All Border Collie Rescue was founded in 2008, and in its first year in operation, it found homes for 25 lovable pups. Now, just a few years later, that number is reaching into the hundreds! At BlissWood, we’re happy to help as much and as often as we can.

All Border Collie Rescue is a volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue of Border Collies. They help to find homes for dogs from shelters throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and other neighboring states. They work tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and match Border Collies with families who are right for them.

And we’ve got some wonderful news! Just last weekend one of our foster Border Collies was adopted! To celebrate the momentous occasion, we went out to take some photos in the bluebonnets. As you can see, Border Collies aren’t just smart – they’re photogenic too.

When you visit BlissWood, you might just end up bonding with some of our available fosters. If you’ve never met a Border Collie, you should know that they’re very smart and they learn quickly. A Border Collie makes for a great companion. They’re loyal to their owners and very capable, if you train them well. If you think there’s a chance that a Border Collie might fit into your life, please consider a rescue. They’re especially good pets for folks with active households.

Plan a visit to BlissWood today! You won’t necessarily leave with a new pet, but you never know…
