More Than Just a Ride – A True Texas Ranch Experience

BlissWood Bed and Breakfast Ranch is more than just a place to ride—it’s a place to unwind, reconnect with nature, and create lifelong memories. Our historic ranch dates back to the 1830s and offers a true taste of Texas hospitality.

After a day of adventure, retreat to one of our charming cabins or guest houses, where you’ll wake up to breathtaking sunrises over rolling hills and enjoy a peaceful breakfast. For those who love animals but prefer to stay on the ground, our Hug a Horse Experience provides a unique way to bond with these gentle giants. Guests can enjoy a soul-healing hug, feed carrots, brush a horse’s long mane, or even give them a fun hairdo. For a creative touch, try painting your horse with washable, non-toxic chalk paint. This experience is perfect for children, those who cannot ride, or anyone looking to spend extra time with these beautiful animals, and 20% of proceeds support the Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society.

BlissWood is also a pet-friendly destination, so you don’t have to leave your furry friends behind! While our horses may not appreciate a Saint Bernard as a riding companion, smaller dogs are welcome to join you on hikes and outdoor adventures. Beyond horseback riding, there’s plenty to explore—stroll through lush meadows, fish in our private lake, or simply relax under a century-old oak tree. Whether you’re seeking adventure or relaxation, BlissWood offers the perfect escape.
